Bio
I am a Canadian – with a Swiss mother – who moved to Bern in 1997. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, French and English literature. Before leaving Toronto, I worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and as an English Instructor for newly immigrated Canadians.
During a year in France I organized and led exclusive bicycle tours in Burgundy, Provence and Normandy and grew to appreciate the French and European culture much more.
After moving to Switzerland, I was a partner in a restaurant – responsible for purchasing, marketing as well as cooking – in Bern for 11 years, the head of Editing and Formatting for an international organization, a free-lance editor, a German to English translator and an English Instructor, before founding my own English language services company in 2008. My classroom is located between Bern and Thun but I also offer in-house English courses for companies.
I am a very positive and flexible person who enjoys planning interesting and enjoyable English lessons, as well as producing thorough and high-quality written work for my clients.
